Senior Recital

A Bachelor's degree of Music requires a culminating recital or project to represent the student's growth and achievement. Emily (Widiger) Epp's senior recital was scheduled for a live performance in April 2020, but due to COVID-19 consequences, she changed her plans, and now the recital can reach a wider audience.

Featuring a classical set and a contemporary set, the latter with songs from Ancora In Umbra. Recorded on April 27, 2020 in Greer Auditorium with help from fellow students Jordan Summers (guitar) and Luke Koerperich (drums). Audio mixed by Emily (Widiger) Epp and video edited by Annie Hall.

Mile-Marker 56

Mile-Marker 56 is the second instrumental piece that Emmy Wid has written. In the spring of her freshman year at Central Christian College of Kansas, she became homesick of her new home found with her lifelong friends. Mile-Marker 56 on Northbound I-135 is right before the last turn before the exit to reach CCCK from her hometown. Once she passed the mile marker, she knew that she could see her friends within minutes. An early example of Emmy Wid's programmatic and minimalist writing style.
